The Way Church Newsletter 4:Making Progress

Good afternoon, dear friends of The Way Church! I hope you and your families are doing well and blessed. I’d like to provide you with a brief update on what God has been accomplishing in the early stages of this new ministry.

Ground Zero Gatherings: Every Thursday at 6 pm, we’ve been meeting, and our core group has been experiencing significant spiritual and community growth each week. In the past month and a half, we’ve welcomed several first-time visitors to Ground Zero. Just last night (Thursday, October 26th), we were excited to have 5 first-time visitors with us. It’s been truly amazing to witness the group flourishing in community, love, and in the Lord as we come together to fellowship and study God’s Word. We’ve met at Pastor Steve’s house (also known as Loire’s house) and the Wadsworth Library on a few occasions, but regardless of our location, the Lord continues to unite us as a church community. We also recently conducted a “Spiritual Gifts” assessment with our core group, and it’s been a great blessing to discover how the Lord may use each person at The Way Church.

Change of Plans: The saying, “when God closes one door, He is doing so to open another,” holds true. Planting a church or starting any new ministry often requires flexibility, patience, and the understanding that while you may have your plans, the Lord might have different ones. Last month, we were quite certain we had found the perfect location to launch The Way Church. As we worked on securing this space and stayed in touch with the person responsible for the lease, we were somewhat suddenly informed that the owner no longer wanted to lease the space to us. This setback led us back to prayer and brainstorming, and it appears the Lord has another promising opportunity for us. While I can’t reveal all the details just yet, we’ve reached out to a local church in our community with surplus space, and they’ve expressed interest in allowing us to lease from them. A part of our team met with their team last Sunday, and we have another meeting scheduled for this coming Sunday (October 29th) to discuss further details. I kindly request the Friends of The Way Church to join us in prayer this Sunday. Please ask the Lord to lead the way for both our church and theirs and, if it’s His will, to bring about this partnership for His Kingdom. Pray that it would be mutually beneficial for our fellowship and theirs. If/when it becomes official that we will be at this new location, I will send out a special TORCH Newsletter to share the good news!

Serving You: If you’re receiving this email, it’s because you’ve expressed your desire to stay connected with The Way Church. That means you are a part of this ministry, and we care about you. If there’s anything we can do as a church family to minister to you through prayer or any other means, please don’t hesitate to email us at info@thewayonline.org. We truly appreciate your support and your commitment to staying in the loop with what God is doing at The Way Church. So, please reach out to us if there’s any way we can be there for you.

I want to express my gratitude for taking a few minutes to read The Torch Newsletter. Thank you for your prayers and for being a friend to The Way Church.

Have a wonderful day!

In Christ’s Love,

Pastor Steve
