Before the disciples of Jesus were called Christians they were called followers of "The Way." This term is derived from the teachings and way of life of Jesus Christ. In the New Testament, Jesus described himself as "the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6).

The term “the Way” emphasizes the belief that following Jesus and his teachings was the true path, the way of living in accordance with his teachings and example.

The Way Church exists to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ just as our brothers and sisters in Christ did from the beginning to show people the Way which is Jesus Christ.

The early Christians, therefore, saw themselves as followers of Jesus, adhering to his teachings and imitating his example.

It highlights the understanding that Christianity is not merely a set of beliefs, but a way of life that encompasses following Jesus' teachings and striving to live according to his principles.
