Dear Friends of The Way Church,

Happy Friday! We hope this message finds you well and blessed in every way. We’re excited to share with you the latest updates on the journey of The Way Church.

Ground Zero Gatherings: Building Unity

Last night, we held our third Ground Zero core group gathering at Pastor Steve’s house. Each week, God’s presence is evident as we dive into His Word, share meals, pray together, and fellowship. The bonds of Christian love and unity are growing stronger among those God has brought to The Way Church. We’re also learning valuable lessons from the book of Nehemiah about working together, seeking God, and building the spiritual walls in our lives.

Next Steps

God continues to open doors for us, and we trust Him to lead us faithfully. In the coming weeks, The Way Church will move into its first permanent home. We kindly ask for your prayers for God’s guidance and provision during this exciting transition.

Our plan is to meet as a core group on Thursday evenings until the end of 2023. During the next couple of months, we’ll be acquiring chairs, sound equipment, and other essentials to prepare for formal worship services starting in January 2024. In January, we’ll move our weekly gatherings to Sunday mornings for worship, prayer, communion, and the preaching of God’s Word. This will also mark the official launch of MISSION Kids children’s ministry. We aim for a “soft” launch in January, with a formal grand launch planned for April 28th, 2024. Please join us in prayer as we seek growth spiritually, numerically, and financially.

Salt and Light Giving

Last week, we sent out our inaugural Salt and Light giving letter, reaching out to friends of The Way Church and inviting them to partner with us through prayer and financial support. We’ve been encouraged by the donations received thus far and believe that more will come in. As a reminder, anyone committing to giving $50+ a month will receive a Salt and Light giving partner tee-shirt. If you’ve already given to The Way, we’ll be reaching out to you to arrange for this token of our gratitude.

Please Pray

Your prayers are precious to us, and we ask that you continue to lift up this growing church. Here are a few specific prayer requests:

As we invite friends to join our core group, pray for wisdom and favor in extending these invitations. Above all, pray that we all draw closer to Christ as we gather in His name.

Pray for wisdom as Pastor Steve and Pastor Dave navigate the process of securing our first worship building.

Pray for the Lord’s provision and growth in our finances, as our vision is significant and requires resources.

Pray for the equipment needed for our church services, including chairs, sound equipment, and supplies for children’s ministry.
